Chaitanya Dasi and Paradheya Das moved to Sacramento in 1999, to do what they have been doing all their life, on the request of their Guru Maharaj. Spread love and devotion for God, Lord Krishna. They have dedicated their home as our temple since then. The bhajans, aartis, sankirtan, Bhagavad Gita discussions, samskara pujas, fire sacrifice and many such auspiscious activities have all been part of their daily routine. An excellent cook, Chaitanya Dasi also relishes teaching classical dance and drama, especially to glorifies the pastimes of the Lord on special events such as Jaganatha Rathyatra. Together, with all the devotees of ISKCON Sacramento, they have registered a non-profit organization, as a first step towards fulfilling a life long vision of building a beautiful Radha Krishna Mandir in the Sacramento region for devotees to participate in the beauty and depth of Sanatan Dharma.

Basics Facts
As taught in Bhagavad Gita, Vedic knowledge should be received in sampradaya (disciplic succession). ISKCON, founded in 1966 by Srila Prabhupada, is in once such sampradaya known as Brahma Madhava Gaudiya Vaishnav Sampradaya. As predicted in Vedic scriptures Lord Krishna appeared as Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the 16th century in Bengal and expounded the philosophy of “achintya-bheda-abheda-tatva” meaning “inconceivable simultaneous oneness and difference” to bring the Dvaita and Advaita philosophers of Sanatan Dharma together, to understand the relationship of jivatmas (souls) with the Supreme God. He also popularized the Sankirtan Movement and the Hare Krishna Mahamantra.
